I am a costume maker with 18 years working in the costume prop departments for various films, TV and theatre. When filming ceased with the onset of the lockdown in March 2020, I found myself without work for the first time since leaving college.
I became involved in making scrubs for my GP surgery and organising a local team to make them for East Surrey Hospital. Facemasks seemed like a natural progression from this, having made some for a refugee camp it became apparent that the UK was going to adopt facemasks as a requirement for public transport, so I began to make them with the intention to sell. My masks are made to a high standard and I genuinely try to progress them and make them as comfortable as can be. By lining some with silk I found that it was kinder on the skin and more pleasant to wear. I have great fun choosing patterns and I hope people share my taste with the fabrics that I choose!
Work on TV and Film has started back up now thankfully and I am back in the workroom but I have found that I enjoy running my website and making things to sell through it. I am currently prototyping and sampling fabrics for a new product and hopefully, they will be in my shop before long.
"Amazing masks, I have bought a few now for gifts and for me as once I bought my first silk-lined mask, I didn't want to wear my other ones! Victoria makes these to such a high quality. would 100% recommend to anyone"
"Beautiful Masks. High-quality fabrics and made to measure to ensure a perfect fit really pleased with my 3!"
"I've tried so many masks over the course of this past year and yours are by far the best Victoria"
